Published by Picturesque on Friday, December 19, 2003 at 11:54 AM.
Ah-ha has finally decided to dump their stupid name for one a tad more professional, Enhance. Old URLs will continue to work until they decide otherwise. Interpretation: make changes ASAP.

A new search site called Brain Boost takes your questions and tries to return an intellegent answer. Yes, competition breeds some unique services.... or is it AskJeeves reincarnated.
LookSmart Dead?

LookSmart, a pay per click engine, just lost Microsoft as a customer effective January 15. This puts LookSmart in really hot water and a lot less inviting to use. (Like they were desirable before?)
New Google Filter
Published by Picturesque on at 11:33 AM.
Called the Florida update, this has a lot of SEO so called "Professionals" highly agitated to say the least. A number of sites just disappeared off the radar just before Christmas. Our opinion.... most of them deserved it. From what we've seen, the bulk of the people who lost out where using techniques to boost their rankings that went against Google's rules. None of our customers were dramatically affected. Coincidence?
It just goes to show that if you follow the rules, you can be rewarded. Now that Google has started to enforce them, the bullies are whining. We say shut up, stop threatening stupid lawsuits and ask like a professional for a change. Google's listings is a free service and they can do pretty much whatever they choose to do.
