Lycos and Your Social Calendar

Lycos has decided that it wants to move in a different direction and focus more as a "hub for personal connections". Focusing on invididuals gathering into communities for dating, health, etc., Lycos is moving from appearing to be a regular search engine into something, well.... similar to Microsoft's MSN perhaps? Will they throw away their current search engine? Doubtful unless they can replace that income with even more income from other sources. Currently Lycos is powered by Overture's Alltheweb and their source of income is text ads. Keep your eyes open for a new look.
