Looks like a loss for MSN. Google will be spending $1 billion to purchase 5% of AOL. Where you concerned about Google's purity of search results before this? Worry no more. They will be very impure. This is a definate shot in the arm that AOL needs as their userbase continues to shrink. For Google it helps prevent MSN from gaining ground in the competition to be #1. It looks like a mixed bag from here. If MSN had gained AOL then they would have the impurity issue.... oh yea.... they already have one.
