Keyword Prices Continue Downward Spiral - Yeh, Right

In the stupid news category comes this article on Google's Adwords taking a downward spiral plunging Google into a dramatic loss of income, blah, blah, blah. I mention this article here just to punch a hole in one of too many doomsday articles from people who think they are the next prophet. In fact there are no facts to back up such a claim. Because of the way Google prices clicks, there is no way these guys, or anyone, can know what Google is charging per click for a certain phrase. Google charges a site more based on quality scoring. If a site has a history of breaking Google's rules, they have to pay more to obtain the top position. A site with good content, well written ads and that plays by the rules could pay substantially less per click for the same position. This and other factors make such an analysis impossible.
